Gt350 is a bit more interesting anyways.

I'm 6'7" and 11 months away from turning in my lease. So for the next year I'm going to be going to dealership and just sitting in cars to see if I fit. Mustang may be on my list, the ecoboost interests me, I love a good turbo.

I'm 6'0"/205lbs and barely fit in my Cayman S. I love my car, but if I'm totally transparent, while it is an incredibly balanced and capable car it is a little lacking because of it. Ever since buying it I've been second guessing whether I would have more fun with a Corvette or GT350.

I love the Cayman, but I think for it to shine, it needs to be driven at the track or on curvy back roads on a regular basis. For driving around town, it's just lacking some grunt that adds to the enjoyment of a car. I test drove one ('06? manual Cayman S) for grins a while back, and while I enjoyed the drive, I was happy to get back into my car (E90 M3).
I may be spoiled for power at this point...

Never have been a Corvette or Mustang guy, but the C6/7 and this GT350 might just win me over eventually...

I agree. The engine, chassis and tranny are all optimized for track use. It lacks that low end torque that makes for a fun street/hoon car. When I drove it at Sebring all was right with the world. The space between isn't as fun as it was with my M Roadster, but hey, any car comes with trade-offs.

Do you have fun roads close enough that can be your "low way home"?

None and that has been a soul-sucking realization since getting a sports car back in the driveway. Florida roads in general are flat and straight. Add in that I live in the Clearwater area and that means overcrowded too. St. Pete is the densest city in the country and all of the surrounding areas are extensions of that design/look/feel.
It is about 30 minutes to the closest curvy roads. So AutoX and Track Days are key to my enjoyment of the car.

30 minutes isn't terrible. Just have to make it a point one night (or morning) to go drive for a couple hours. At least your car is well-suited for autox! I love my car at the track, but think the weight wouldn't be too much fun to toss about a parking lot.

It's just OK for AutoX actually. It's geared too high for AutoX. It's geared for the track and you find yourself between 1st/2nd alot during AutoX. But the brakes, those rock during AutoX and the mid-engine layout makes it fun to toss around.

I sat in the new Mustang and thought it was pretty nice.
But I did NOT like the stock seats. Recaros are a must. They're fantastic.
